Diseño experimental para la evaluación de perfiles de resistencia UV y habilidades de fotorreparación en extremófilos

Resumen

In this practical course, we will employ Acinetobacter sp. extremophiles isolated from the High-Altitude Andean Lakes (HAAL) as biological material with the main objective of assessing the resistance profiles and photorepairing abilities of these interesting strains. In addition, we are going to use bioinformatics tools to mine the database in the search of genes coding for photolyases. In this way, we will be able to design specific oligonucleotides for PCR reactions to screen for photolyase genes in the genome of our extremophilic strains.
